I take immense pride in my background as an artist, and carry the skills I fostered in studying traditional techniques with me to this day.<\/p><div><strong>Shown Above: <em>Warped Reality<\/em><\/strong> &#8211; A multiple-point perspective composition was taken to a whole new level to create a visually intriguing image. Do you see a fish, or a wave? The design was conceived using the traditional method of cutting black paper and flipping it with clever relocation, then digitally overlayed with color.<\/div><div><em>Black Cardstock, Adobe Photoshop. Spring 2015.<\/em><\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-aef57b3 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"aef57b3\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div><em><strong>Studies of Italian Statues<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0&#8211; This is a series of statues I sketched in a small notebook on my travels to Italy during my semester abroad,\u00a0Spring 2017.\u00a0The one on the far left is an\u00a0unfinished statue\u00a0emerging from a marble block\u00a0housed in\u00a0the\u00a0Galleria dell&#8217;Accademia in Florence. The one after is from the Pantheon in Rome, and the three on\u00a0the right are a set from the Vatican. For those three, the feet were rather difficult to capture, as they were almost constantly covered by fellow tourists and lovers of art!\u00a0<\/div><div>Having lived in Germany when I was younger, it was an amazing privilege to see Italy again after nearly a decade had passed since moving back to America, and carry a sketchbook with me on my travels just as I did in my youth.<\/div><div><em>Pencil on Paper, touched up in Photoshop.
